Sheraton Kona Resort
Having breakfast with a gecko in Kona!! Now it really does feel like we are in Hawaii:)
We celebrated Miho’s birthday at a casual french bistro.
Foie gras softcream — It was almost too rich for me, but the sliced fresh orange inside of the cream brightened up the palate.
Vegetable parfait — This was definitely my favorite dish of the night. Each bite was unique and different, with greater burdock ice cream mixed with all the different textures of vegetables.
Squid ink oyster with smoked fish — This photo doesn’t do it justice. It was such a beautifully presented dish.
Risotto topped with Sea Bream Poêle —The fish was perfectly cooked. I liked the beet soup on the side to pour it over to change the flavor:)
pancetta wrapped venison roast — I really liked the contrast between the crispiness outside and the tenderness inside.
Dessert plate — I was so full by the end..
It was such a great dining experience, I would love to come back here again! They only offer omakese course dinner, but they change out the menu every month.
